Canada's Story of "Us"

This is about from the point of view of Canada with being apart of the FACE family.
As always the videos follow historical relationships, personas and events.
Canada's connection with France, Britain and USA proceeds within the song I feel.
France- with the loss of the French and Indian War against Britain (ocurred at the same time as the 7 year war) Canada even to this day has tried to maintain a realtionship with France. But the abandonment still is a painful scar on the country.
Britain- while Canada even to this day maintains a TIGHT relationship with the UK there is still the matter that during the early years of Canada's history during which turmoil existed they did little to assist Canada against the US's desire for more land and retaliation against the UK. The reason they did such was that Britain did not wish to upset the US and suffer another revolution... neither country could afford it. It is this matter that has always been interesting to me... the lyric "you held your pride like you should have held me" really hits home as does the silence about the Revolution and the colony that existed. With that as well i put WWI remembrance pictures in there for Canada did not form their own true identity until that war... it was a birth.
US- We have friendly relationships as it started as such and has of now ended as such. The middle point however was extremely different. The War of 1812 is a real part of our history with each other. But the desire for Canada to be connected with the US is very real. The brother relationship is very accurate, "lay my armers down if you said you would rather love than fight" "so many things you wish I knew".

I know this alot but i really think it fits... i ended with happy picture cause those connections are a part of my countries identity and historical reality.

side note!!!... im working on a few others very slowly since 3rd yr uni has started ICK but so demanding :D
