A series of nine digitized images as self-portraits. The base element in each work is a digital photo of Victoria Bridge, Riverisde, CA, during its renovation, before new concrete was poured. I walked under, to the side, through, and on top of the partially demolished concrete bridge to find the best angles for each photos.
Horses are from the Campidooglio, Roma. I made the rain from a photo of rain droplets that landed on my van's windshield, overlaid and stretched them to appear as falling. This was one of the last elements pasted into the images.
Take a close look at the girl sitting in a kind of fetal position in the very center of the first and last images. In my large prints, she is not difficult to spot as she is here. I found her sitting on the sidewalk on my walk to the main library. She was drugged out -- likely on Meth or Speed -- and unconscious to the world. She remained oblivious to me as I took pictures of her all around.
I composited all the elements, all the parts, using Photoshop, on my Intel iMac. In putting together this movie, I used Apple's iMovie.
