It's touching to see jews who love Jesus. A lot of christians are jst hippocrites. They talk abt Jesus but don't live like him. Also he wasn't just put on a cross once 2,000 yrs ago... He's continually put on the cross time & time again.. Tied to a hellish existence by mankind!
Powerful ministry and wonderful music, what else can be said. I have followed this ministry since 1978. I love the songs and the love they have for the LORD. Shalom
I don't want to step on any toes, but what is the difference with IDOLATRY of someone worshiping a false God and one who worships possessions and puts them above God or keeping laws for the sake of legalism and putting them above doing God's will? This is what Jesus talks about throughout his ministry.
Basically the fundamental understanding of messianic prophecy has drastically been altered to exclude what Jesus fulfilled. We have a video that explains it briefly called "The Theology of Judaism". /watch?v=Aqj8JToKggI
It seems like you are torn between two ideas. Biblically speaking, the reason why the Jewish people were set apart, was so that they could make the God of Israel known. Atheism is the exact opposite. Ask the orthodox and see if they don't agree. I understand the problem with Judaism being undermined by Jesus' claims. There is no doubt that Jesus had a major problem with the religious hypocrites of His time as well. All that aside, He did not come to judge them, but to bring God's grace...
Besides spiritual upheavals between Karaite and Rabbinical Judaism, can you provide some evidence that Judaism has altered in character since 70A.D. in any theological manner? It has changed in terms of there now being Conservative Jews, Reform Jews, etc., however, Rabbinical Judaism has a firm grounding in the Tanakh. The absence of the Temple doesn't nullify Judaism; periods of diaspora and exile in Babylon kept Judaism going despite the absence of sacrifices.
It's not about heritage. It's about A) Preserving the Jewish character of Israel from missionary onslaughts, and B) the FACT that many Messianic Jews have surreptitiously attempted to infiltrate Israeli Yeshivas to spread the Gospel.
Atheist Jews are still considered Jewish, because a Jew who is an atheist is simply non-practicing, while a Jew who is a Christian is considered someone who is practicing idolatry, and is therefore a lapsed Jew, not a Jew.

What is the character that needs to be preserved beyond being a witness to the true living God?
