Sheri Kling is a fabulous singer/songwriter. While shooting an 'overview' of a performance known as "Lillies of the Valley" (at the Sautee/Nacoochee Center in the mountains of Northern Georgia) I happened to catch this performance of hers.
I was astounded! It really is a great ballad, full of poignancy and portent.
She has her own channel here on YouTube (check it out).
There are other performances of hers there, and access to her website (where one can buy her releases directly from her); http://www.sherikling.com .
Her 'channel' here is located here; http://www.youtube.com/user/mysticsinger
"I Burn for You (Chicago, 1903)" written about the tragic burning of the Iroquois Theatre. This is footage from the "Lilies of the Valley" concert.
*Technical note; the audio was captured with the on-board microphones of the DVX100 camera, and supplemented with additional capture on HDMD/PZM. I didn't have the chance to get a fold back from the audio board, unfortunately. But, it still sounds pretty darn good (POV).
