Christ was not only sinless but distinct flesh and blood unique to God.Christ was not a succession from God, but direct from Him. 1 John is emphazing though Christ is body which gnostics deny,Christ is One with God in Spirit always. Many gnostics thought Jesus a spirit not physical.Jesus Christ was man like man in every way, but not like man in every way, no contradiction. Christ was not common flesh or blood which John declares,he believes no distinction of blood for atonement.
I believe that when you ask someone "Has Christ Jesus come in the flesh" and they say yes, they are also acknowlegding the Spirit of Christ in you. I have seen this first hand
