I just don't get it, why the people are so angry to those protesters even if they are not fighting for themselves only but also for the rights and benefits of many others. Beating and burning the bodies of dead students is another form of stupidity and ignorance of why this students are on the streets fighting for democracy.

These students were certainly NOT communists, they just wanted democracy back. Thanon was a tyrant, as was his son and father-in-law. They lied to the rest of Thailand that these students wanted to bring down the monarchy, which was untrue. The military elite were just scared of losing power and money.
This comes from one of my language students who WAS there.
