This is the first ever Doctor Who Title Sequence with the first Doctor (William Hartnell)
This sequence lasted from 1963-1967.

Who trivia: Dr Who was originally 'infotainment', using time travel to teach history & science. That's why his first sidekicks were a history teacher & a science teacher (& his human grandaughter)

everyone at the bbc cshould be ashamed that many of the original episodes were destroyed in a fit of space saving fervor and lost forever. Shame on you bbc for destroying such wonderful pieces of entertainment history.
