I'm amazed no one understands this. At the Intro to the news a roll of headline pictures always runs and these are the voiceovers underneath to explain them (all done live every night). At the end of the first segment the edited mix stalls (freezes/crashes or whatever) - issue with their media server or the file is corrupt or something. They have to cut to camera and keep reading the headlines. Alison obviously gets instructions (the pause) from the control room ahead of the last segment that

I fail to see a blooper...
I see two possiblities. Reporters rehearsing their lines, which is a little unlikely as it showed gaza video at the start... Or more likely this is the unedited version of a news program. Where they read the lines, and then later an editor will cut it apart and his "good evening" at the end will actually end up being at the start of a new segment after a commercial break.

For all you unattentive guys, the blooper is that as they finished the opening lines for each story they were supposed to cut to the footage, but they didn't for some reason and had to read the opening lines for the next one.

The blooper is that New Zealand never messes up, and thats the worst you will ever see them .. ;) NZ Rocks!!

@cjwright79 he says all the news and reads the headlines, then like 15 seconds before the video ends he says good evening etc again
