She explains why she loves Islam so much. "My friends say you were a Good Christian, why have you sold out? Almost is what they would imply. My answer to that is well I didn't know about the Prophet Muhammad so its been enriching of my faith."

"It was only in the 1960s (in England), when we (women) could open a bank account without having our husband sign the bank cheque. Islamic Women have always had those rights. If I stick to what the Quran says to me, and what the message is, it is very clear to me, that I have total equality. Just do what it says, and nobody can argue with me on that."

As Salaamu Alaykum...

I remember that scary first day in hijab and work. My boss (a staunch member of the JDL) and coworkers were far from kind. The ironic thing was that the executives actually liked it because with one piece of cloth I became a triple minority for the company. They paraded all of the corporate head hanchos infront of me whenever they could. LOL It takes lots of strength but wearing hijab and work is very doable

mashallah your video is great. i converted to islam 3 or so months ago and recently went out with a hijab on for the first time, so i can completly understand how it feels, it scared the life out of me too lol :) Congratulations with wearing it and you have deffonitely inspired me to wear it even more!
