ROSE OF CHILE (Tango-Fox Trot)
(Bowers)
Played by Lanin's Roseland Orchestra
Columbia, A2943 (79146), 1920.

If you can make it through the rather long introduction, you will be rewarded by the sound of castanets playing, starting about a third of the way through the record!

This is the reverse side of "Oh! By Jingo."

  • @nelsonvargascatalan It's probably a bit of genericized Latin music (common in that era)...

  • Could somebody explain the story of this piece? I'm from Chile and was not aware of its existance... Castanets have never been played often in my country so, this is a very strange effort

    Thanks

  • i could dowload all your video's, all so good !!

  • Thanks for your understanding. I'm a rapper from Chile, and I dislike the intro, mostly since Rose Of Chile is a very nice tango fox trot inspired in our country.

    Blessings
