S800 vs. Mini Cooper

Honda S800 racing against Mini Cooper in a vintage race at VIR. My race ended with a transmission problem on the last lap.

@kiwiavi - I don't think it would make a very good dirt track car! It's a narrow car and with the ride height you would need to run a dirt track, I think rolling it was inevitable.

I have since fixed the problem that kept me from getting sound on my video.  Check out my latest video ("Hond S800 racing at VIR") to hear the S800 engine revving all the way to 12,000 rpm.

This took me back to when I was about 10 living in Lusaka, Zambia when one of the racers had one of these. How a Honda S800 ends up in the middle of nowhere to race around a dirt track in the 60's I don't know. If i remember correctly, he rolled it.

Not really the driver, it's just the Cooper has 1275cc vs Honda 800cc engine so no comparison on straightaway power, but the Honda kills the Cooper on brakes as well as cornering speeds

Damn, you got whooped by a British car with a very skilled driver. I hope you get revenge on that fool for taking your lead. By the way, not a bad song by Creed though, I'm a fan of Creed during my youth. Maybe by the song ends, add the engine sounds from that same race, so that would be a good ending for the video.
