usually before a singer records an album or sings in a concert, he will make several preparations to make sure his/her voice is in tip top condition. These preps will take weeks even months some times. Rarely do they spend those energy for an award show. Thus the so so performance from David on this particular night.

i see.. i think he sang well. i'm just enjoying watching DT in a suit, which is pretty rare...

DT fans too.. I think he has just recovered from fever/cold(I saw his performance in Sept and obviously he was very sick) and he altered those high notes that he was unable to reach. You see he left all "I love you" to audiences!

I'm a David Tao fan but I must admit this is not 1 of his better live performance... how ironic he talked about "using heart" to sing and he OVERdoes it on the song (emotions too over la!)... just my thoughts. :)
