Pain pump victims never imagined that the device that was supposed to relieve discomfort would end up causing permanent pain and damage to their shoulders. Research now indicates that these pain pumps that deliver pain medication directly to the shoulder or knee can result in progressive destruction of shoulder cartilage.

@jagrench62 2008. I spoke to a lawyer who said I was elgible. The docs still do put the pumps in wrong. The fda has never approved them for this use. Docs should have to explain this to you and give you an option in my opinion.

@theenforcer1977 when did you have your surgery? i have the same problem but was told that patients who have had surgeries after 1997 are inelible , because the docs no longer apply the into the joint but right outside the joint space. i was told that there are still in many cases , problems with the pumps. one person i spoke with in a law office (not an attorney but an intake person) said she has spoken with many people that have problems and that there may be another CAL later.
