I really like the kill switch sound but I'm not sure about doing this because my guitar is really expensive and I don't want to risk making a mistake. So if I took my guitar to a guitar shop, would they do me up with one?

can someone tell me something.. i bought a guitar has a coil splitter for passive pickups but i put blackouts sd which are active so it doesnt work now as a coil spliter so can i change the coil splitter into a killswitch

This isn't short circuiting, this is creating an open circuit when the switch is pressed since there is then infinite resistance between the switch nodes. Their method may have caused buzz when the switch was pressed, what you should do is get a 3 node selection switch and dump the depressed selection to ground.
