ColecoVision Modification

This is my answer to the ColecoVision power switch problem. The issue manifests itself with rendering graphics. It can cause the C O L E C O V I S I O N boot up screen to display dull hues instead of the bright rainbow colors or it can cause artifacts in sprites in game. I modified my ColecoVision by adding a heavy duty switch and a retro looking green power light.

My mod is simpler, power switch is located where the channel 3/4 switch is. But most important of all: it finally works.

Hey looks good man, thanks for the Cid. I have just recently purchased a used coleco that was never used. Problem is it won't work, the screen comes up with big black and white horizontal stripes. I have heard that the power switches become faulty over time, and that the power supplies will commonly fail. Have you had these issues with your system? Is this an easy fix? Any help would be appreciated. thanks.
