Had one like that in a motorbike once.

I wish I could get mine going, let alone looking & sounding this good.. Problem after problem means it's sitting unloved at the moment.

I like the carb !!!
I looks like a Dellorto.......

She's a wee beauty.

Very nice, must be the smartest looking Villiers around!
Runs very well too, not many small two strokes will run that well.

This must rate as one of the best looking Atco "Midget" engines i've ever seen, she really does look the business Nigel, without doubt. What ever you did, seems to have her running like the proverbial sewing machine or swiss watch.
I just love the colour and the finish of this engine. Definitely Premier league and the top of it too!
Thanks for all the positive comments guys. As most of you know my engines normally get the oily rag treatment (I actually don't like painting) but I decided to try something different on this little project.

What paint is used on this engine? It has a lovely deep glossy colour to it.

@110samec The red is a cheap aerosol from Toolstation, 500ml for £5.18. The colour is called 'safe red' but is actually RAL3000 (flame red). The cylinder is done in Plasti-Kote BBQ high temp satin black.
