  • Não entendo nada de karate

mais ficou bem legal o seu kata

    parabéns tshio XD

  • I learned Chinto from Shihan Frank Harvrove and he from Sensei Nagazato in Okinawa and we do it the same way as shown here.As was said 8months ago,it's a matter of interpretation

  • @OkinawaShorinryu I think you missed my point.

  • @MrNickjannini if it is a matter of interpretation why did you bring up the point of Sokon 'Bushi' Matsumura? And what Master Soken taught that was handed down to him from Bushi through Nabe Matsumura and from Master Soken to a few other, myself included. Others studeid under Bushi and incorporated it into their styles and changing the kata, and this has continued with most individuals. It's not say others are wrong, just different. But the original was a softer flowing kata.

  • @OkinawaShorinryu It's a matter of interpretation.

  • a comment on the video, you are doing a good job on Chinto, nice power. I like a little more flow. I'm not saying your are not doing it incorrectly , your style is a little different than mine is all.

  • @MrNickjannini you need to watch a video of Master Soken (direct lineage from his great great Uncle Bushi ) doing the kata. It is a flowing kata, not rigid.

  • Perhaps I should clarify what I mean by softening (I can only speak for myself on this)... in my opinion he needs more relaxation and overall body recruitment in his technique. Not that his technique should be soft but that he should explode and then relax. Softer as in involving less tension.

  • @reaperblacku With regards to "his technique needs softening", this kata was designed by Matsumura Sokon, the inventor of linear impact technique. There is no need to make it softer.

  • It is the influence of kata's competition . They execute it too rigid as Shotokan guys , but Shorin is very flexible .
