Kinks Preservation Society Toast To The People Of Kinkdom

This video is a salute to the great people of Kinkdom from all around the world. When we were planning our recent get together for the New York metro area Kinks Preservation Society, I came up with a brainstorm (or a brain freeze) to create a video toast to the wonderful members of Kinkdom from all around the world who couldn't be with us in person. There wasn't a lot of time to prepare, so I scribbled as many names as I could think of on the way to the gathering. Then I enlisted Frank, who knows most every Kinks fan in the universe, to join me in the video.

Naturally we forgot many of the great Kinks fans, and without the piece of paper I keep glancing at in the video we would have forgotten a lot more. So for those we don't mention, please forgive us and we will definitely salute you next time. And for everyone, I hope you enjoy this video tribute. The primary purpose was to have all of our friends feel like they were a part of the festivities, and to toast their loyalty and friendship.

I hope you enjoy the video and that it brings smiles to your faces. Just seeing Frank and I, with the other Kinksters in the background and waitresses walking in front of us, should be enough to give you a few laughs.

Most of all we salute Ray, Dave, Pete, Mick and all the other members of The Kinks for the incredible enjoyment they've given us over the years.

For the next video tribute in Ocotber we are going at ask everyone who wants to be mentioned to send us their names so no one is upset. We did not mean to leave anyone out, but this was a last minute spur of the moment idea that we had not planed on or thought about more than just minutes before we did it....God save all the Kinks fans around the globe, I've said it before and I'll say it again that KinKs fans are the greatest people and music fans in the world!

In October when we ( Bobby and Frankie Mental ) Do It Again we will remember not to forget to remember all those that we forgot this time??? LOL!!! plus next time I'll have more then 3 seconds advance notice that we were doing this and Bob is promising to buy me some wine and dinner at Esca before we film.

Bob scribbled down some names on paper earlier but, I was just name dropping off the top of my head and occasionaly trying to read off Bob's list with not much luck. Again I apologize to all of my friends I may have left out, and I know Bob left out many too. - Frank

I apologize to everyone and anyone left out of this tribute but I did not know we were doing this until just seconds before. There were so many more names of people who all deserved to mentioned, in October Bob and I will " Do It Again " when the movie plays in NYC and hopefully not leave anyone out next time. God save the KinKs and all their fans ! You are sekond to none!
