My girlfriend mentioned rings the other night and I showed her Moissanite. We went through videos and articles. She's in love with the idea. It's going to save me (and ultimately us) thousands of dollars.

@puipuni complete agree IF you cannot find a decent price diamond..Id much prefer to find a diamond because it will always hold its cost. I beleive there is only one company who has the rights to create moissanites and that is going to expire in a year or so.once others can tap in - the price of the moissainites will go down significantly...but nevertheless a beautiful gem..

@MrXAVIERDB sucks but unless we all have a brother in law or friend in africa who can dig it up to us..there is not much we can do if we want one..business is business..so you always pay un upfee - even hefty ones..oh well..but you can shop smart and find deals..even at pawnshops..

$1,000 for a moissanite ring set= $5-9,000 more for a down payment on a starter home.

important thing is the natural process and duration involved in the synthesis of these materials....and synthetic does not have the same value as natural...this material is good though...

Bling!
I love my moissanite wedding set... it is so BIG, and BLING-BLING. I decided to get moissanite because I can more about the fire and sparkle of a jewel and will never be interested in selling. I do not compare it to a diamond, It is better to me because unless you have thousands to spend, you cannot get a diamond to sparkle the way my ring does. Plus, I would rather have my money in the bank. Moissanite is a good choice!

Twice the fire, 10% more brilliance, all the heirloom quality, at a fraction of the cost. Seems like a no-brainer to me. People need to stop being brainwashed by the diamond industry.
