Very Impressive! I've been making chainmaille for about 6 years, so far. You have good talent, keep it up.

@misper34 you use butted chainmail, real chainmail would be riveted which would keep the loops from opening. though it redefines tedious, and if you try it. it will give you a new respect for the skill and patience of the armour smiths of old.

i think if you are good padded 4 in 1 and 6 in 1 is almoust same

@Cakevspie94 he says at 6:00 that he is using half inch pipe.

You are my hero. i made a chainmail suit with your technique and its awesome. i used big rings though and think im going to try to make a suit with smaller rings

@omgirule07 I just making a point that it has been around for a while. Of course it has not actually been around that long. There was no such thing a smithing and refining of ores and metals etc.

Nice video man. I recently made a section of 6 in 1 weave armour and tested it from about 25 yards using recurve bow and a melon wrapped in the armour. The mail slowed the arrow down, but it still cut pretty deep into the melon. I'm interested in attempting 8 in 1 weave. Any suggestions? I am currently using 16 ga fencing wire and my jig is 3/8 inch. 6 in 1 almost stopped it. I wonder if 8 in 1 will do the job. Just curious.

@misper34 if u use smaller rings with a tightly weaved 8 in 1 pattern that should do the trick!

@hoagieman100 I suggest 14 or 16 gauge wire.
