Durbin had the advantage of being the only one in the field who was right handed. Lot less carry down and disruption of his line

@20alphabet I agree. The bowlers on TV today are a bunch of wild animals with little class. The bowlers on TV when it was on ABC acted a lot more professionally, sort of like golfers. However, it was always nice to see players like Holman, Salvino, and Pete Weber who showed emotion and had competitive fire.

Very nice to remember when professional bowlers were fine examples of self-control and class. These men esteemed the sport and fans worthy of dignified competition rather than Roller-Derby-like outbursts and personalities. Another thanks for posting!
