Brave men at fires... This is a 1937 Seagrave "Safety Sedan" Pumper Truck that is being restored and transformed into a hearse. To preserve fire fighting tradition, the restored rig will be used to carry firefighters who have fallen in the line of duty to their final resting place. It is an enormous task, and funded completely by donations. You can take a look at the progress, (and make a donation if you feel inspired)at: http://detroitfiremensfund.org/
It is 2009 and the rig is being painted. There is still much to be done. So if you can help in any way...
The music is from the motion pictures "Glory", "Backdraft", and "The American President."

since this video was put on detroit lost another firefighter when the roof collapesed on him and others then just a mounth or 2 a go when a wall fell on 4 or 5 detroit fire fighters its a dangerous job but somebody got to do it

@ussr1942 The 3 songs are from the motion pictures "Glory", "Backdraft", and "The American President" When the movie "Backdraft" was released, the trailers used the "Glory" soundtrack song, even though it was never heard in the movie.

My Mother, Father, Uncle, and Granfather are all fire fighters and I tip my hat to all the men and women of the fire departments all of the world. I have also one questoin what is the song at 1:55. I dont know the name but i know its in backraft, which is one of my favorites, and if any one could answer that, it would be appericated. Thanks and if you any of the other songs in the video please tell me.

First song is from the movie "Glory", second is from "Backdraft", and third is from "The American President". The rig is in the paint shop. Thanks for watching.
