This is the "Original" version of this classic Chicago house track before Frankie Knuckles re-released it under his monicker. Slightly rawer version than the Knuckles version. A piece of Chicago House history on Persona records JP222 1986.

  • Okay, it was the south side of Chicago, maybe near 95th and King Drive. We are in a basement party on a cold winter night. The music is playing through a "ghetto blaster" and on it is this grove... boom boom ba-DOOM-DOOM;...boom boom ba-doom-doom;...boom boom ba-DOOM-DOOM the coldest home-made track I had ever heard. Was it winter '83 or winter '82, I am not sure but I waited 4 years to buy that track, looking, waiting. Yes I was one of the first to hear it played.

  • Just A lil History,This is not the Original "Your Love" This was actually a Remix because Persona Records wanted a more commercialize version, which Frankie & I disagree with them on. i'll be explaining the TRUTH N my upcoming Interview With Czarina for 5magazine.

  • @GcTheHardstyler If you have not seen them already check out: "Pump Up The Volume - Part 1 - The History Of House Music". 3 part series. And: "Video explains the world's most important 6-sec drum loop." Could not paste the url here for some reason.

  • Brilliant tune, so so good. I'm only 23 myself but am addicted to all sorts of EDM, and the history, DJ and producers that made it all happen and how music progressed. This is awesome everytime I hear it, it's got more feeling than the new stuff.

I'm just a bit confused about all the comments, wanting some clarification, is this the Original that Jamie recorded in his bedroom/basement on a tape or is this the first version that was remixed and released by Frankie?

  • wow ! never heard this version before . Amazing :-)

  • Always was great 'rare' stuff. Ty for sharing.

  • This is BAAAAADD!! I have heard a lot of music, and try to listen to just about everything, and this just kills me. Something about this early house music that gets you on a different level from everything else that's out there. Wish we could go back.

  • take a big deep breath .......then let it go
