@AussieSoccerBoy94 Oh, there's no doubt that he's GREAT at self promotion and marketing his images to those with more money than sense (or taste.)
OTOH, his pictures all look like they belong in one of those insipid "Motivational" posters. Apart from the excess color, I honestly don't see anything remarkable about his images.
@Antithropocentric Sorry to hear that renewable wind energy is spoiling your photos. They should probably scrap them all & just build more coal fired power stations- in ugly, unphotogenic locations of course...
I do respect his wonderful photography but for a guy who deliberately places himself in potentially hazardous environments… surrounded by a crew that is there to insure his safety, the promos on the Weather Channel makes him sound like a wussy. Pack your big boy panties Peter and drop the Bear Grylls theatrics.
He and other photographers must deal with gas wells and wind turbines increasingly spoiling the scenery, even from many miles away. I suppose they can digitally edit some of them out, but the problem is insidious.
Someone ought to do a photographic essay on places that are slated to be industrialized, like a time capsule collection. Man is trashing the landscape more than ever, it seems.
no doubt about it the usa is the land of beautiful and diverse landscape and i hope to see for myself soon - and photograph it :) ! but the hype behind peter is pure genius, i've followed him and admired him for near 15 years so he can't be too bad right. my previous comment was that things don't quiet add up but who cares, at 200million US and counting, he's in his element....
