O come, O come, Emmanuel
And ransom captive Israel
That mourns in lowly exile here
Until the Son of God appear

O come, Thou Dayspring, come and cheer
Our spirits by Thine advent here
Disperse the gloomy clouds of night
And death's dark shadows put to flight

Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel!
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel, rejoice!

  • How did you get it down to the day when Jesus made it inescapably clear that we cannot figure out the day or the hour?

  • @peaceseeka Hmm.....

Wonder if that means an especially sensitive man may know what year.... I wonder.

  • this version is awesome and so is that entire Christmas album: G-d With Us

  • I would LOVE to hear a blend of this version and the original version, harmonized!!

  • I believe that Jesus walks among us all the time. We wait, but he is already here. Today we buried a man that without a doubt in my mind and heart, he was the living God on earth.

  • Actually, there is a 48hr period at the beginning of the Jewish 'feast of trumpets' the 1st/2nd of their month Tishri, where 2 preists would have to agree when the new moon had arrived and would sound their trumpets to indicate that the feast of trumpets is to begin. This is actually known as the 'day that no man knows the day or the hour of' in jewish culture. So many believe that when Jesus returns, it will be during that time. as for which year...????

  • @Rachael251314 That's exactly what I'm saying, man.

  • only Father knows the day. so all human shut up and enjoy the song.

  • @knightofavalon86 it's in Matthew 24:36

  • @knightofavalon86 Lord Jesus Christ said to His disciples that only Father know the day.

  • @dimstar4now Christ said *HE* didn't know. If He didn't know when He was coming back, how the devil did you figure it out? Just out of curiosity.
