One of the problems with spectacle culture is that Appiah's brilliance is muted. He should be on the tv every damn night for weeks on end explaining what honor is to the dolts.
Must add that Appiah's response beginning at frame 1:12:27 that one of the major moral issues which will amaze people looking back in 100 yrs is that of not taking action to stop the cruel practice of industrial meat production was spot on as far as I'm concerned. As he says, "animals in most of our large scale beef, pork and chicken production is appalling."
I have chosen NOT to eat meat, but even those who do continue to do so, as Appiah does, will hopefully come to recognize the pain in this
