The 5 masted coal schooner Paul Palmer caught fire and sank in 1913 and now lies ontop of Stellwagen Bank in less than 130 feet of water. The shipwreck is in the Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
