  • It's a great thing as long as you have a way to invert the phase of one of the two microphones, otherwise it would do more bad than good :P

    ...unless you have a dynamic on top and a condenser on bottom (or the other way around for whatever reason). Condensers any dynamics are physiologically opposite in phase already.

  • not micing the bottom head of the snare is murder to the recording! its next to i possible to get a good sound by just micing the top. the snares give it the snap crackle and pop! ;)

  • I made a video about micing the drum set and everyone bashes the duel mic on the snare. It's nice to see a pro do it
