Outdoor shots, Comparing the Thrunite Neutorn 1A 300!!! LUMEN with a SINGLE AA SIZED LIGHT!!! and the new T6 XML led vs The Quark AA S2 XPG. The Thrunite 1A is made to run the powerful 14500 AA* battery @ 300LM along with standard AA's, which give it a wimpy 140lm :( but useful in emergency situations

  • Hey, how does this light with 300lumens compare to a TK15 with 337lumens. Is there a noticeable difference? If so by how much?

  • @PandaMagicFTW the human eye cannot distinguish between 300 and 337 lumens. humans detect light intensity on a logarithmic scale not linear, so small differences at high output appears to be the same.

  • @PandaMagicFTW The TK15 will throw light a farther distance with its larger reflector though.

  • The AA squared near the end - was that on 2 Nimh AA's? or some other battery type?

  • @xxS3RG31xx yes, two Powerex 2700 NiMH in the AA^2

  • @hugo2x I guess, but it still doesn't need to be that big. D:

I baught a Xeno E03 now, apparently its slightly brighter then the 1A and smaller :o

  • @hugo2x So I just wasted a bunch of money ordering a TK15 which is like 3x bigger, and has nearly the same amount of brightness... ='[

  • @cabbythadon I don't think that there would be a huge difference bn the pd30 and the thrunite 1A but I don't have both lights so I don't know what the brightness difference would be

  • @hugo2x right on man. does it even out-perform the fenix pd30 or pd31? they look to be only other real competition...?

  • @cabbythadon no other current XML light with the same dimensions can out-throw this light. its floodyness is just a physical factor of the large XML led with a broad viewing angle. I agree with you about liking a lot of throw in a torch. but with a 14500, this light just puts out so much intense light that it compensates for the small reflector. its amazing, I still get a big goofy grin every time I use it in public places.
