Some of the water effects look decent with PhysX, but the one where the door blasts open to have water spill out in bursts seems horrible. The low quality glowy particles looked better in that case.
Despite PhysX adding a lot more sometimes overwhelming environmental feedback, it does seem better than the plain due to the feeling that things are happening.

@dano555666 ive had a 9800GTX2 for years and have watched series after series of graphic cards come and every time a new one arrives, i just wonder why? I can already play crysis on max with 16xAA , why should i want this

This game makes me mad because its difficult to run, to be honest, the physx effects aren't very impressive, i thought the best part was the sparks from the bullet impacts

Seriously, I've had a mid range PC for years, I just bought a cheap as chips 460, and then another exact one of it after about 2 months, sli'd it beats EVERYTHING. I dunno why people feel the need to have sli 480's, let alone quad setups... my 460 sli setup runs gta4 and crysis silky fucking smooth, and you only need a 700 watt psu for it, rather than a thousand + watt.

Love the almost Cthulhu-esque atmosphere of this game. Psychological horror. Still a great game today.

@caIImeTommy Ultra expensive? You do realize that nvidia dominates the price/performance market right now, right? The GTX460 owns it's price range... nothing even compares. The 470 is $100 less than the 5870 and it trades blows with it after the 258+ drivers. As for the 480, well.. it's the most powerful single GPU out there right now. Gotta pay for the best.

they pay developers to build theire shitty physX crap in theire games, so people buy nvidia cards...
but Havok would work fine for this too AND give Ati gamers the ability to enjoy the game...
and on top they make ultra expensive grafic cards..

PS : and don't get me wrong ... i had nVIDIA card for plenny years but when they started with this crap and pretend that theire cards are so much better I instandly switched to ATI !
