  • O my gawd, ur art work is amazing, ive only just begun drawin do u think u could give me some tips? Plzzzzzzzzzz

  • @Whitepirate100

Thanks for the comment :) If you just started.. find characters that you adore! And start by tracing them so that you can get familiar with the shapes of the face and body. Once you have done that a few times... just practice drawing the character until you perfect it. Then try to learn how to color the character. practice practice practice. Watch other artists and learn from them :) My website is coming this month with detailed drawing tutorials :)

  • It is amazing to me that you can get such quality our of SBP. I am very interested in your future website. Will it be done soon? Keep up the good work!

  • @rasp910

Thats a question that ive been recieving practically everyday in my inbox lol

I was trying to get it finished by christmas! Im happy to say that the "how to draw Cherry" course is finished! And im in the process of finishing the web-design! So i believe that it will be ready this month! I have also closed some good deals with other amazing artists who will be creating tutorials for the site too! Im sorry guys for the delay... Ive been working on a new animated series. Happy new year ;)

  • @Toonboxstudio

Thanks for the reply. Is there a place or book you recommend for a beginning artist?

  • @rasp910

My advice is to only use books as a reference to the drawing you want to do. Learning from books in my opinion is not as effective as a video tutorial or a personal teacher. In my days, i never had the option of video and the internet! soooo.. i relied on books which didn't get me far. I believe buying dvd's and joining short courses is VERY effective! and once you build your skill.. get some work experience for free! that's what i did when i was a teenager. i hope this helps :)

  • Oh lol sorry, thought it was in sbp :b would be really helpful since im practiacally blind. Thanks a lot for the response though, and i'll keep stalking your work ;) Are you on deviantart?

  • @Synth7913

Hi and thank you for the kind words :)

The "PEN" cursor is not in Sketchbook Pro! it's from the desktop recorder software CAMTASIA that i use to record these videos. In Camtasia there is an option for changing the cursor when you are recording and you can find it in the "Effects" tab.

I hope that helped you :)

  • Cherry's a cute character and it's very fascinating to watch how you draw!

though, I'm wondering how you get you cursor to be so visible (like a pen)? because mine is practically invisible, and I've looked all around the program for the correct setting, but I can't find anything. would be really cool if you could tell me :)

  • @Toonboxstudio Cool, thanks for the heads up. Keep up the good work! ;)
