In Mishlei Musings, Toby Janicki highlights various thought provoking themes of character and godliness found in the chapters of Proverbs. This first lesson focuses on Proverbs 1:7 - "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction."

  • I like your explaination of the fear of HaShem. When I am presented with a choice to follow or fall I am reminded of Jos 24:15 "choose for yourselves today whom you will serve". In my life it isn't a day by day choice... it is a moment by moment choice. Thank you for your insight and teaching.

  • 1:00 - 1:55 This reminds me of something my mother tought me when I was about 6 or 7 years old and was watching something on tv that was not good, but she did not tell me te turn off the tv but asked me : what do you think Jeshua would feel seeing you watching that? All I did was think and then got up, turned the tv off and went out to play. Thank you for this lesson, may the Lord bless you!
