On that last clip of Castro st. Does the bell malfunction? Because as it goes through it sounds like it gets turned on or it shorted out...

That is called push-pull mode. Almost every commuter rail in the US does that.

I get it, the train goes forward when the trains goes southbound, and when the trains goes northbound the trains goes backward using the cab car to control it.
