Unboxing and testing of Logisys Dual 12" Blue Cathode and Logisys Dual 12" UV Cathode.
They can be purchased for about $6 each, they come with their own rear bracket on/off switch, adheavsive pads. and screw.
One thing to note, the UV kit, one of the tubes has died in less then 3 days, the rest have been working fine for 3 months now.
If you dont have UV reactive parts like I do then there is really no need to buy a UV kit.

  • is it This one"LOGISYS Computer CLK12UV2 12" DUAL UV COLD CATHODE KIT - OEM" From newegg??

  • @JaCieKochams2

thats the UV one that I have

I got them both from amazon though for $5 each

  • hey joey can the blue cathodes work with the uv ones or do they affect them, reason for asking is i have the blue cathode and wanted to run uv light to allow my tubes to glow-wanted the best of both words with uv effect and bright blue led.

  • @rickytlc1985

the UV effect is pretty much nulled with the blue cathodes, unless you can prevent the blue light from hitting the UV reactive parts

  • @Joey22688 thanks for the reply big help-also how bright are the uv cathodes to the blue, do they illuminate as good as the blue(mine look assume) seems kinda gloomy grey from ur vid??

  • @rickytlc1985

the UV look like thy are emitting a purple light, they dont seem that bright but they are meant to just make UV reactive parts glow, not create light inside the case

the blue are just crazy bright

  • I got same UV cathodes, they dun give out as much UV light as you think, they are pretty weak..

  • Do you need to have UV cathodes to make UV Fans work properly? (In terms of brightness obviously) :-)

  • Are you stupid? you just run it off a 12v source....

  • THE Blue Cathode looks much better and so much brighter!! I recommend buying that 1
