Jorge Reyes "sacrificio"

the didgeridoo isn't a prehispanic American instrument, is it?
The music, and performance is great!
There's something weird about bringing sacred prehispanic activity into a concert venue for entertainment...what a strange juxtaposition! Ancestors and human heritage, and buying and selling tickets to come see the show!

Mayans used the Joom Paax which is the same sound as the Didgeridoo, but in this case maybe Jorge Reyes was not able to get the Joom Paax for this presentation.
I do agree with your comment about the dances being used as entertainment, books and history says that dances were only performed by our warriors and to become a dancer you need to become a warrior first. I do believe there is nothing wrong with sharing the culture and maybe Nok Niuk is not trying to do wrong.
