but its really sucks that the millitary took second best. during development there was another aircraft the XY-23 and the XY-22. the XY-22 systems where a lot more tested there for they went with second best. the XY-23 was cheaper, more advanced, stealthier. they didnt go with it because the systems wasnt tested that much. and the systems for the XY-22 was. there for they went for second best. which sucks because the XY-23 is cheaper there for they would be more plentiful unlike the XY-22.

(don't quote me on this) but the f15 has a 100 and something to 0 kill record. The f15 vs the f22 saw the f22 win 144 times to nothing vs the f15. (numbers are not accurate, but close). Basically you can't shoot what you can't see, and if it can see you before ou see it, out shoot, out manuver and out think you, your going to die no matter how fancy your plane is.
