@Bo2Fly if u throw 19lb injectors, a melling camshaft and some pacesetter headers at her and take off all the emissions crap, then yes they can be quite fast. I threw tons of performance goodies at mine and she is one happy v6. if you moron rednecks want to make fun of me for putting money in a v6, and a car that i love, then go ahead, just remember, my 85 firebird is a 1 owner, garage kept, rust free car, so before you put me down, show me a pic of you're rust bucket so i can return the favor!
