My fave TOTP theme. Makes me think of coca cola and choc digestives, which was my childhood snack of choice at the time of each Thursday evening transmission. I'm sorry, I'm so sad, in both senses of the word.

Yes this the best TOTP theme which coincided with the synth-pop boom that year.
Still sounds fresh to me compared to watered down later versions

also I have this on dvd actually with the other christmas special which has all of the number ones from 1981. but Jimmy Savile wore the same jumper on a TOTP edition from 10th September 1981.

Makes me laugh as he was 55 years old when this edition was broadcast. Something you won't see on telly nowadays, an oldie presenting a "teen/twentys show"
