Gynecomastia is a condition mostly caused by excess of estrogen during puberty. If gynecomastia doesn't subside by the age of 16 or 17th surgery is usualy necessary.
Gynecomastia surgery can be performed under local or general anesthesie. This is determined by the treating plastic surgeon and the patient.

@simatermind No dumb-ass. Breast are natural on women. It's only a big deal when men have them. WTF are you askin' idiot?. Goats, cats and some other animal get this, but WTF? There is no surgery for a fuckin' sheep with Gyno. YES! ONLY MEN DEVELOP GYNECOMASTIA. WOMEN ARE SUPPOSE TO HAVE BREAST.

@topherb420 I'm 35 and am not fat. My issue is the enlarged glands. I noticed that u had the surgery about 6 months ago. Is it all that you expected regarding the appearence? Also, how much did u pay? I've also heard that "smoking" may have contibuted to this. Did u have this discussion with your doc and if so, what was his feedback? Thanx Bro.

Can a normal surgeon do this opertaion?. I maybe do the operation in 2 months but with a surgeon not plastic. Any advice?

@Alexsuper15 I would recommend for you to go to this forum gynecomastia org, you will find a lot of information there about selecting a surgeon to perform your surgery. To briefly answer your question: It is best to go to a plastic surgeon who specilizes in gynecomastia surgery. This way your results will be much more predictable. Good luck.
