I hadn't watch AI for years and then read an article in the paper about the "dark horse" David Cook. This was the first song I listened to on iTunes just to see what they were talking about. After I sat with my mouth open at the low to the high, I listened to every song he had sung already. My parents thank David Cook because I went to their house to watch AI every Tuesday. (no TV at my house ; ) ps. simon thinks he knows everything - not. He would have canned D.C. before the live show.

David Cook has always had a beautiful attitude. Any smart person could tell what was really there and what Simon was trying to conjure up. Boy, the "power of suggestion" sure works on some people. The man just happens to have confidence and loads of talent to back it up. Nothing wrong with that.

@WilhelmFink1039 oddly enough though, david didn't have much personality until it went to the bigger stage. i found he had kind of a cocky and piss poor attitude until they got to the big stage and then he seemed to switch gears and then i liked him. i really thought more than once he was headed home based on his bad attitude in those rounds.

Simon might do well to think of Kevin Costner. David has a similar laid back kind of approach. It never hurt Costner, and it seems to serve David as well.
