Save Public Housing in New Orleans

The government is scheduled to demolish thousands of units of public housing in New Orleans. The city is in the middle of an affordable housing crisis. Rents have skyrocketed and thousands are homeless.

I can't stand it when they do things like this. They tear down the projects to put up million-dollar condos. That is so wrong.

I think they should re-construct and remodel the public housing complexes, and make them safer and more inhabitable living environments.

THE people living in them are. Drop out of school; have kids with 0 savings, refuse to work, refuse to be responsible adults and make responsible decisions; = poverty.

@jsyell16 :I grew up POOR. Wore used clothing. Worked since I was 11; saved every cent. Lived below my means. Studied HARD.Never went out to dinner or drank alcohol,soda. I paid for my own college. I paid bak every penny while working 2 jobs through, after college. Saved until we had enough to raise a family in a cramped, tiny apt. My family never took welfare, sect-8, stole. We Worked our butts, hands off.Picking fruit to shoveling. GET IT??

I only bought a used car when I was 30..we walked.
