Dad & Ronnie

Dad lost one of his best friends and picking buddies this past week. Calvin and Dad had been friends for over 50 years. Calvin's family asked Dad to play at the funeral. This is Dad & Ronnie practicing for the sad occasion.It was a very difficult time for Dad. He will surely miss his dear old friend. We all will. But Calvin passed his love of bluegrass and his talents on to his sons and grandsons who are great singers and musicians. They will carry on the tradition! May God be with the family during this very difficult time.

man that would be a hard thing to do....i don't know if i would be able to keep myself together long enough to play like that. especially if it were a lost pickin' buddy. that's awesome, and i'm sure your father saw it as an honor....
