This is the first call home from our 19 year old son. He arrived at Camp Pendelton two days ago. The call came at 2am California time. My husband is still laughing!

  • Just got this call yesterday from my boyfriend

  • @Sara8Janine9

Did you get to talk to him?

  • Aww this call came to my boyfriends mom on Tuesday! She was trying to describe it to me and now I understand what it must've been like for her! Please thank your son for serving our country!!

  • @mastokes11

I hope she was able to answer the phone. I will always be a little bummed I was not able to answer the phone. My son is doing great and LOVES being a Marine. I will pass on your kind words.

  • @off2fish1, Please ignore the rude comments, how sad it must be to be them.. I even received one after commenting on your great video. I had described not getting that 1 & only phone call from our son (who is now a US Marine deployed overseas) Anyway, imagine my surprise when I read someone calling my comments "bull sh*t" and how no one gets to make 2 phone calls." WHO said my son got a second try?? Not me.. Girl, don't try to please trolls, it's a waste of your precious time.. God bless.

  • @elombard39

It blows me away that someone commented on your post. It's actually sad to think their are people out there that can call a complete stranger a liar and worse. My thoughts are the ones making the bad comments probably never made it through Marine bootcamp. Wishing you and your son all the best.

  • west side marines...ya right...Paris Island's where its at

  • Thank you for sharing.. We never received that call. Our 17 yr old arrived on Parris Island in Aug 14, 2009 & his call never came. His explanation was he must've dialed the wrong number due to nerves, stress, exhaustion etc. Can you imagine the surprise of the person he called? If they're a Marine family they recognized what it was.. Naturally, I worried myself sick over it but he graduated 13 weeks later, TY God.. God bless you, your son & all the other Marines and all of our U.S. military..

  • @off2fish1 Yeah I did! It was soo great to hear his voice, yet you can't get one word in... 59 Day until he graduates!!

  • 0:29 voice crack lol

  • @off2fish1

I also received the very same call on Sept 7, 2011 at about 2 in the morning. They have to yell because the DIs are yelling in the background. The only thing I could really understand from the call was 'arrived safely and I love you Mom' . That was all I needed to hear. God Bless You Jordan and all other Recruits at Parris Island, SC. See you in December! Thank You for serving our country...
