Dear Friends, In today's video, we meet with Ann Maymann again, a familiar face from previous i-ACT trips. She's the Senior External Relations Officer from UNHCR but will be soon transferring from her post in N'Djamena. We wish her well in her future endeavors! Ann gives us her own account of the coup attempt early this year, and also reminds us why we cannot give up hope and must continue pressing for positive change in the region.
Our field team also found out they'll be leaving N'Djamena tomorrow and will immediately head out to the camps!
Today's Action: Senators and Presidential Candidates McCain, Obama, and Clinton issued a joint statement on the situation in Darfur and their commitment to continuing their current efforts to end the violence in Darfur and implement the Sudan's Comprehensive Peace Agreement. Read their statement and thank them for condemning the government of Sudan. Please also urge the candidates to begin their dedication to Darfur NOW and make protection of innocent civilians in Darfur and Sudan a priority in their first 100 days in office by sending them a message.
Peace, the i-ACT team
Thank you Caitlin, if you would consider adding one of these new video updates to your channel, I'd *love* for your entire group of susbcribers to see one of these. Thank you for dropping by, and be well.
