This is very true, Lesterclaypool1. Very true. I just wish that I had some of the stamina that I did when I was young...

At least we were afforded the luxury of growing old, ADT.

I agree that Keith Moon was the Jimi Hendrix of the drums, in the sense that they're not the best but the first to push the boundaries

Well, no one had both.
It would be pretty hard to determine the absolute best, but it doesn't take much musical knowledge to know that Keith Moon is FAR from the most talented drummer of all time.
John Entwistle was pretty up there though.

Did you watch the video and understand what was going on? lol. I mean really, have any other drummers replicated what Keith did to their respective bands? Maybe others like Bonham and Peart were more technical, but Keith played with more heart, which is more important. And oh yeah, he came up with lightning fast fills that fit perfectly within the contexts of their songs. Moon, had tons of talent. He is a drummer than can never be duplicated. I'd say, all in all, Moon is damn talented lol.

Spurious, funny how minor musicians such as Jimmy Page, John Bonham, Neil Peart, Roger Taylor, Carl Palmer, etc. don't agree with you - all citing KM's revolutionary impact and musical ability, especially live. Pray tell, share your copious musical background, recording history and stage work from which you base you, um, 'spurious' observation. KM was not a Watts 4/4 shuffle drummer, nor a shreader speed drummer, he was a lead instrument literally. He changed the role of the instrument.
