However, if the ideas turn out to be true, one could argue that this truth was arrived at independent of any external perception of it. Whether you could define this as knowledge, however, is another argument. But you cannot deny that these “truths,” at the very least, are discovered without directly perceiving them.
I would argue that certain types of knowledge of the external world, can be derived through pure introspection. What about pure mathematical ideas? Ideas in which turn out to be true, yet have been conceived through pure introspection.
