We took this trip over the duration of a week this summer. We built a home-made motion control rig using pipe, a stepper motor, a car battery, and an arduino microcontroller.

For more information on the processing workflow: goo.gl/5p9sY

The Canon 7D was used exclusively for video and photo capture during the trip, we had one setup for video, and one setup for photo.

We used a Canon 24-105 L, 11-18 offbrand aspherical wide angle, Canon 50mm 1.4, and Canon 17-40 L.

Thanks to Hayden Harris for being the partner in crime, and his family for letting us use their massive van. And Joshua Broekhuijsen for setting up our microcontroller and wiring!

Only by the end of the trip did we really have it figured out, the rig was difficult to use because of its design. On the trip we actually had to rebuild the controller portion, which needed to reconfigured for a different use.
