imax b6 provide maximum power 50W, you can use 50w notebook power supply, i used to sell notebook power supply with imax b6.

e.g. if you have 3 cells lipo pack, your maximum charge rate with imax b6 will be 3.9A (50 / 12.6 = 3.9), you can complete 3900mah 3s lipo pack in one hour (1c charge rate)

awesome.. I have the onyx 230 it charges lipos, but I didn't know that much about the balance charger at first.. actually I'm still learning.. and getting a lipo either later this week or next

why do you need a external balancer where you already have a build-in balancer on the imax B6

May I ask, why does the B6 unit blue display read-out,read 0928 in the bottom right display courner, what does this represent please ?. I thought it was the (I)current total of the charging battey pack.
