In the first half, George Noory welcomed researcher Dr. Jeffrey Long for a discussion on near-death experiences (NDEs) and how they may provide proof of the existence of an afterlife. "Virtually all the people that have a near death experience are absolutely fully unconscious and most clinically dead at the time they have their experience, with no spontaneous heart beat or respiration," explained Long, who has researched some 2,000 NDEs. Despite their dire medical state, patients who come back report having had crystal clear consciousness, heightened senses, and out-of-body experiences that often involve accurate descriptions of their own resuscitations, he said. Many also recall being met by their deceased loved ones, Long added, noting that almost never do they encounter living people in their NDEs.

It is impossible to predict who will have an NDE or what the content of the experience will be, Long continued. About 15% of near death experiencers have a life review that teaches them a positive lesson on how their actions affect other people, he revealed. According to Long, it actually takes about seven years for changes to fully manifest in the experiencer. They tend to become happier people, with an increased belief in God and the afterlife, less fear of death, a decreased value of materialistic things, and a stronger value on loving relationships, he explained. Some even develop increased psychic abilities, he added. Long believes the near death experience itself, which many cannot even describe with words, is the strongest evidence that there is a "wonderful afterlife for each and every one of us."

The remainder of the show was devoted to Open Lines. The final half-hour featured a replay of part of George's 5/18/09 interview with world renowned medium James Van Praagh.

  • @Gonzoidzz it makes perfect sense to me. The way I understand it, it emphasizes the limitations of our physical bodies. Once we shed the body, we shed our limitations.

  • doesn't anyone understand the word QUESTION? You're supposed to ask a question not tell your life fucking story.

  • @MrKweeft

    You've met us! : )

  • I still don't believe brain damaged people suddenly become cognitive at death. Doesn't make any sense.

  • @sirigi22 Smiths FTW

  • @Rhal95 you are absolutley right, but people need open minds. most of society seems to be afraid to talk about this topic, i have yet to meet someone who i share my interest in this with.

  • I wonder if there's any accounts or evidence of multiple/shared NDE during an accident where there's more than one person involved in the accident, like in a major traffic accident, like a bus crash or something like that, and more than one person have the experience and are able to share what happened.

  • @Rhal95 If everyone smoked a blunt all at once athiesm would be gone for 4-6 hours lol.

  • There is a light that never goes out!

  • hello
