Dead At Heart[23]

She woke up the next morning, it was around six. She realized what she had done, and she hadn't even noitced that she never went home. She sprinted towards the road and started running to the house, about 6 miles away from there.

"Oh my god. Melissa." Her mother grabbed onto her as she walked through the door. "Where were you?! How could you do this to me?!" Melissa looked at her mother, and felt the pain inside her. Her mother had been crying, one of Melissa's ultimate weaknesses.

"I'm so sorry. I had no idea. I fell asleep and I just woke up a little while back and then I realized I didn't go home, and then i panicked and then... and then.." She started crying.

"Don't cry. Thank god you're alright sweetheart." She hugged her.

"Oh my god. Where'd you go yesterday?" Anya asked Melissa.

"I needed to leave."

"Please tell me you went home. Your mother called the school, came here, and asked so many kids where you were."

I just stared. What do I say to that?

"I'm just really happy you're okay." She hugged Melissa.

Love is a hard thing to feel when your heart no longer feels emotions.

"Hi Matt."

"Can I talk to you for a second, alone?"

"Sure."

They walked towards the end of the hallway, and stood by the windowsill.

"What happened yesterday? Where did you go? All I've heard since yesterday is that you were missing. I called, I texted, I tried calling others to see if they knew about where you were."

"I'm sorry."

He looked at her face. The bags under her eyes had gotten worse.

"Please don't scare us like that. Please."

"It was an accident. I fell asleep. And I didn't wake up till this morning. I'm sorry."

He hugged her.

"What's this for?"

"You're okay, and safe, and here. If something had happened, I wouldn't be able to do this."

Did he care?

Did he actually care for me?

Yeah right.

I feel so sorry for Melissa. I've gone through this kind of feeling when I thought that nobody loves me but I know that there are people who love you no matter how you are, but you need to be happy so that good things will happen ^_^
